Study Abroad

Study a Trimester at Deakin University and/or Lancaster University during your second year of the dual degrees!

Study Abroad opportunities will be available, via an application process, to all eligible students. Information around these opportunities will be provided once you commence your studies.

Students can choose to study a Trimester at Deakin University and/or Lancaster University during their second year of the dual degrees study program

  • Study at Lancaster University, Lancaster United Kingdom –1st Trimester of 2nd Year of Study
  • Study at Deakin University, Melbourne Australia – 2nd Trimester of 2nd Year of Study

Study Abroad

Registration to apply for Study Abroad will be open during the 2nd Trimester of their 1st Year of study in the dual degree, however Study Abroad will only be approved for students who have successfully completed all 1st Year modules of study. Once approved, Students will be charged extra tuition fees to participate in the Study Abroad program which will guarantee them the opportunity to study for one Trimester in their 2nd year of the dual degree at Deakin University and/or Lancaster University. Extra tuition fees will be detailed once each Study Abroad registration period is launched.

Sponsored Study Abroad Opportunities

The Study Abroad program will also have opportunities for students to be Sponsored. Sponsored placements will provide students to have any extra tuition fees covered either partially or completely! For these placements the University will be running a selection process for students to submit an expression of interest. The selection process will commence during the 1st Year of their Dual Degree for students, with a limited number of Sponsored Study Abroad Opportunities made available.


It is important to note:

  • Eligibility for Study Abroad programs will be based on factors surrounding student capacity to succeed in the program including financial and academic abilities.
  • Study Abroad opportunities do not include the visa application, fees, and processing for study in Australia / United Kingdom, however advice and information surrounding this will be provided to students. Students will also be responsible for other associated costs, such as flights, accommodation, insurance, and personal expenses during the period of their study in another location.
