Professor Greg Barton, one of Australia’s leading scholars in Indonesian culture and politics, has been announced as the first Rector Designate of The Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus.
Prof Baron has thirty-five years of experience researching Islam and social movements in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. He is one of Australia’s leading scholars of Indonesia, Islam, Muslim society, security and politics.
From August 2015, he was Research Professor in Global Islamic Politics in the Alfred Deakin Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation (ADI), at Deakin University and previously was Herb Feith Research Professor for the study of Indonesia at Monash University (2007-2015).
He was also a member of the Australia-Indonesia Centre (AIC) staff team from the time of the establishment of AIC at Monash in 2014. Professor Barton is also an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Strategic and Global Studies (SKSG), University of Indonesia, and a Senior Fellow with the UAE-based Hedayah Center in Abu Dhab.

Dr Pranakusuma Sudhana leads the operations of the newly established joint campus of Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia in Bandung, West Java. He has been actively involved in Transnational Education TNE for over 10 years by successfully managing various local and international education institutions. Academically, his research interest includes the psychological aspects and the branding of TNE. Dr Sudhana holds doctorates in Marketing Management and is a registered professional lecturer with the Ministry of Education Republic of Indonesia.
Continuing his dedication to the development of TNE in Indonesia, Dr. Sudhana aims to provide quality education for all. He envisions transforming educational practices to create a more inclusive educational environment and remains dedicated to the principle of quality education for all, influencing the education industry and beyond.

Citta Sellepan has experiences in working in both the Indonesian and Australian education sectors since 1991, and mainly focusing in the Australian higher education sectors since 2005. Previously, she was the Business Development Executive, Indonesia, CDU Global, Charles Darwin University, Australia.
Prior to this, Citta Sellepan was the Country Representative for Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia for University of Canberra, Australia. From 2005 to 2015, she was the Country Representative of Indonesia
for Team Canberra. From 1996 to 2001 she was the Australian Education Centre Manager in Australian Education International, Department of Education, at Australian Embassy Jakarta. In 2002, Citta Sellepan was the Acting Deputy Director in Education of the Australian Embassy Jakarta.
Citta Sellepan’s experience with the Indonesian Universities started as an academic member from 1991 to 2002 at the faculty of Agriculture Technology, Institut Teknologi Indonesia, as well as Marketing Manager at the Joseph Wibowo Centre, BINUS University, Jakarta in 2002.
Citta was originally from Pekanbaru, gained her first degree (S1) in Agriculture Industrial Technology from Institut Teknologi Indonesia in 1990, before studying Diploma in Public Relations from London School of Public Relations, Jakarta in 2002, and Master of Applied Science in Food Science and Nutrition from Western Sydney University, Australia in 1995.

As the Director of Student Recruitment, Sianne Sari is instrumental in shaping the strategic direction and growth of marketing and student recruitment activities within the organization. With a background in the international education sector since 2017, she has held various leadership roles that have enriched her understanding of both recruitment and marketing. Sianne’s experience spans several countries in Southeast Asia, where she has developed strong channel management skills, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the education systems in Canada, Ireland, Germany, the USA, the UK and Australia which includes Australian immigration system.
Before entering the education field, Sianne gained valuable insights from her work in finance, technology, and the freight industry. Her career began in Indonesia with an AusAID environmental project in East Java, where she first engaged in international collaboration.
Sianne has studied undergraduate degree from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from SP Jain School of Global Management. Her academic background, coupled with her genuine passion for international education, continues to drive her efforts to create meaningful opportunities for students seeking global educational experiences.
